This flexible LED linear system for exterior architectural lighting application is bendable and adjustable on site for optimum feature lighting
The Radiant Serpentine exterior LED linear
system is designed for a wide variety of exterior building
façade lighting, wall grazing, landscape and other
exterior architectural lighting applications.
This is probably one of the first systems to be hand bendable
on-site, and to offer adjustment in both the axial and vertical
planes. The individual LED modules can rotate through 300
around the axis of the system and 300 between the joints,
allowing the system to be curved to follow building profiles
and architectural details, and for the light output to be
aimed to give optimum grazing or feature lighting.
Continuous lengths of linear lighting that measure up to 10
meters can be powered from a single external 24V DC power
supply, depending on LED type. Each of the modules houses
a high efficiency constant current driver circuit running
4 high power white or RGB LEDs with a total power rating of
up to 15W per module. The white versions include an integral
010V dimming circuit while the RGB versions are under DMX
control.
High efficiency TIR lenses in a variety of beam angles and
beam profiles are fitted to the system. Lenses can be easily
changed on site by removing the cover and twisting off the
holder by hand, thereby enabling complete control over the
light distribution.
Modular joints are pressure die-cast in marine grade aluminium.
They are corrosion resistant and all fixings are stainless
steel protected. Plus, the system can be locked after adjustment
in both vertical and horizontal planes with an alien key.
This innovative luminaire design by London-based David Morgan
Associates, an international design consultancy, was showcased
at ARC 09 the architectural, retail and commercial
lighting show.
